Mitchell to join The Brand Agency

Writer Mitch Mitchell has resigned from Rare and will join The Brand Agency from next month. Mitchell is one of the industry’s rising stars and has shot to prominence in the last year on the back of good performances at the PADC and Campaign Brief Awards, which saw him go from being unranked to number 8 in this year’s Creative Rankings.
It’s a case of deja vu for Rare, who lost Ryan Albuino to Marketforce in 2008 after he also came to prominence with some award-winning work for the agency. Mitchell moved from Vinten Browning to replace Albuino about 18 months ago.

I thought the firing was a recession based decision?
My theory is that Buchanan needed a guitarist for the forthcoming Bullshit Band night and has only just realised that he sacked Kurt last year. The hiring of Mitch provides him with a handy rhythm guitarist.
