Metrix Consulting opens Melbourne office
Perth-based market research firm Metrix Consulting has opened its first East Coast office in Melbourne.
Metrix CEO Marquis Pohla (far left) said expansion to the East Coast had always been on their radar.
“In the last 12 months we have had strong demand from national clients, particularly in Melbourne. This growth demonstrates that there is a strong appetite for a new breed of consultancy that is commercially pragmatic, connects multiple information sources and tells you what you need to know without the clutter and long lead times. In some ways we see this as a validation of our business model relative to the traditional market research firms. It also shows that firms from Perth can be at the cutting edge on a national and international level.”
The new office will be led by Asher Hunter (above centre), who returned to Melbourne in March this year after four years in New York, where he was latterly Vice President of Consulting for multinational firm GfK.
Hunter will be joined by Laura Millington (above right) to form the inaugural Melbourne Leadership Team. Millington is a highly regarded consultant who brings more than 10 years of international (London) and local experience (Melbourne and Sydney).
Metrix Melbourne will be based in a converted industrial warehouse located at 42 Chessell Street, Southbank.
Pohla said with Hunter and Millington’s expertise, Metrix was looking forward to applying its core principles to companies in FMCG, Retail, Services, Technology and Fashion. He added the move would deliver a number of benefits, including for clients in Perth.
“Growing our team with such high calibre people will enable us to expand our service offering, tap into new thinking, and use their expertise in Perth where a business challenge requires it. Of course, opening a Melbourne office would not be possible if we didn’t have the opportunity to work with great clients here in Perth and make a difference to their business. So thank you very much to all of our clients for their continued support and for continuously challenging us to stay ahead of the curve and be the best we can be.”
