Meerkats on The Gruen Transfer tomorrow night

The all-conquering Meerkats go up against Adelaide’s Jamshop on the ABC’s The Gruen Transfer tomorrow night.

Senior writer Kurt Beaudoin is facing the glare of the spotlight, presenting the agency’s entry in The Pitch – the segment where twoagencies are given a brief to sell the unsellable.

The brief is for a campaign to make all Australians think they’d bebetter off if WA seceded. The client is a fictitious populistcoalition, made up of ordinary Western Australians, as well aspoliticians, business owners and mining industry bosses, wants to makeWestern Australia its own country (hmm…maybe not so fictitious). Theyhave one hurdle: convincing the rest of us.

Beaudoin was in Sydney last week for the show’s filming and learnt of his HBF Radio Silver Lion win at Cannes whilst there.

The Gruen Transfer airs tomorrow night at 9.00pm on ABC1 and Thursday night at 8.30pm on ABC2.
