Marketforce’s Cannes Contenders
Over the past two weeks the Campaign Brief National blog has been showcasing it’s “Cannes Contenders” selections. CB invites agencies to nominate what they think has a chance of winning a gong at the Cannes Festival that kicks off in just over a week. Marketforce featured in today’s story – here’s what they think has a chance of doing well. Do you agree?

I don’t know if they will win metal but all are good enough to maybe get a finalist.
For me i’ve always loved the guide dogs ad. A really clever use of the paper.
But fingers crossed for them. They should be pretty hopeful that at least one of these gets shortlisted.
Their best chance is probably with Guide Dogs or 7pm in media, but they will also have to rustle up some tasty response data to impress the judges in that category. As ever, success depends less on the execution of the idea and more on the successful execution of the entry itself. Good luck.
It would be great to see what other agencies have entered-Brand? 303? Meerkats, Gatecrasher?…
alright mate no worries mate
Ikea and ORS maybe in best use of media (if they have a category like that). MF are dreaming if they think Western Power will win anything. Guide Dogs is their best chance – again in the best use of media category. And ORS in outdoor is nice – my favourite so I hope it gets something.
303 hasn’t done anything worthy of entering, let alone winning.
Gatecrasher – Burswood didn’t even win at CB so no chance in Cannes.
Meerkats ???
Brand ???
6.26.
Best use of media is a Media Lions category and as 11.30 said you need results data to win in that. Agree with you about ORS- it’s the most likely finalist given the category and requirements
Has Gatecrasher entered Burswood into Cannes? I hope to hell it has. CB Awards aren’t an indication of anything. What wins at one show can very often get ignored at another. It should be entered, and it should do better than Guide Dogs.
Perth has a few metal chances this year. I hope at least one of us get up.
