MARKETFORCE DROPS PANTS FOR NEW SEASON OF CALIFORNICATION
Marketforce transformed a shopfront display as part of an ambient campaign promoting the highly anticipated second season of Network Ten’s controversial comedy/drama series Californication, which launched on Sunday following Rove.
Starring Golden Globe winner, David Duchovny, Californication chronicles the life of Hank Moody, a novelist whose obsession with honesty and his self-destructive behaviour – drink, drugs and sex – are simultaneously destroying and enriching his career. Since its infamous debut episode, Californication has stirred a considerable amount of controversy due to its explicit nature and occasional nudity.
“We approached Marketforce to create something that was representative of the show’s tone,” said Network Ten Perth’s Marketing & Publicity Manager, Kylee Payne. “We wanted something that conveyed its sexy, sophisticated and provocative side, as well as its humour.”

Where is this shop front?
It’s on William Street in Northbridge until the 13th and then it’ll be relocating to Murray Street in the City until the 21st.
Very clever MF. Well done. Hopefully this will lead to more TV stations embracing ambient the way stations do in New Zealand.
Love it. Well done to all involved.
clever! very unique
This is false advertising! Now that Hank has hooked up with his ex wife, there’s going to be far less gratuitous bedding of nubile young women without underwear. I’m writing to the Advertising Standards Council.
Funny. This is getting a completely different response on the national blog. Same thing happened in reverse when 303 put up the IKEA TV recently. That was panned locally but got the thumbs up nationally. IS WA really that different from the rest of Australia?
I’ve read the comments on the national blog and the idea is hardly being panned. The rest of Australia is no different from us in Perth apart from the fact that there’s 5 times as many cynical fucks over there who’ll have a crack at anything given the chance.
No relevance to the show (it’s not about fashion) and a touch of the bad-pun syndrome we seem to be suffering in Perth at the moment.
