Mark Pinney leaves OMD to start new venture
Mark Pinney is set to leave OMD WA to pursue new business opportunities, with OMD as one of his foundation clients. Pinney will work for OMD as a sub contractor on individual client projects.
“I would like to thank Mark for his brilliant contribution to the growth of the agency over the last two years,” said OMD managing director Adam Marshall.
“His strategic insight has made an enormous contribution to the success of our client’s media campaigns. He is the leading media thinker in the state and although no longer an employee of the agency will remain a key member of our team. Everyone at OMD is sad to see him go and we wish him every success with the new business.”
Pinney resigned from Meerkats where he was Director of Channel Planning to join OMD in April 2011 in the role of Head of Strategy.
Despite Pinney leaving OMD has also made a number of new appointments over the past few week. Therese Olsson has joined from Austereo as an Account Coordinator. She will work with Cameron Mack and Ken Warwick. Jenni Quinn has joined from Strategy Design & Advertising in Christchurch as an Account Manager. Quinn will work with Gemma Moore and Stefan Schoombee.
And rejoining OMD is in a part time capacity, looking after the HBF account, is Olivia Geen.
