Lotterywest decision “late July or early August”

The much anticipated Lotterywest tender drags on, with a decision not due until late this month or early August – more than 4 months since tenders had to be submitted on March 19.

Contract manager Rachel Bruechle said agencies were advised of the timeline at the tender briefing, with an addenda to the RFT sent to tendering agencies after that meeting. However no updates or communications have been sent to tenderers since.

She said the process was a long one because the tender had been broken into four modules covering advertising, media and channel planning, digital and corporate design & printing meaning there are four contracts to be assessed, each with its own probity requirements.

Asked whether appointments would be made from the submitted tenders or a second ‘shortlist’ stage would be undertaken, Bruechle said she was unable to comment but that Lotterywest had allowed for that option in the tender document.

The current contract expires on November 4.
