Linc produces 3D cinema ad for Australand
Linc Integrated has developed its first 3D advertisement for property company Australand. The campaign launched throughout Western Australian cinemas on July 3rd is an amalgamation of traditional advertising techniques and 3D technology used in recent films such as Shrek Forever After and Toy Story 3.
Linc created the campaign to promote Australand’s exceptional value on offer and its new ‘House and Land” branding and is a first for both Australand and Linc.
Produced entirely in house apart from the final stereoscopic render, Linc Account Director Paul Butcher said the 3D ad was part of a fully integrated campaign which included the cine-ad, press, online banner advertisement and landing page.
“The client saw an opportunity to market to young families through thehigh quantity of popular 3D family films being released in the month ofJuly and saw the 3D advertisement as providing a point of difference.”
Nikolai Douglas, Interactive Designer said that using 3D helped tobring the theme of the advertisement to the forefront of people’s minds.
“The underlying message is that Australand creates vital communities. The 3D makes this theme come to life and it is a dynamic and memorableway to advertise that hasn’t been done in the property industry.”
In the last 12 months alone there has been a 10-fold growth in thenumber of 3D screens in Australia to 260 screens, with four of the top10 movies last year released in both 2D and 3D format.
By converting from the traditional 2D advertising, Linc has givenAustraland the opportunity to capitalise on 3D’s immense popularitymeaning a higher level of recognition and retention will be achievedwith defined differentiation from other competitors in the propertymarket.
The ad runs for three weeks during July, coinciding with other 3D movies being released during the month.

Judging from the fact there’s no sarcastic, cheap shots on this one, It seems like Perth’s agency folk like it!
Well Done… Nice and simple (even though the technical bits aren’t)
oh please, 9.29am. Nobody commented because nobody wants the account or has a grudge to settle with Linc. The ad is rubbish and you, as part of the team, should consider yourself lucky we have had Cashies to feast on this week.
As long as the media it plays on was bought in WA they probably don’t care!!!
