Liam Riddler + Alex Bolderoff’s Diary Day Three
Liam Riddler and Alex Bolderoff, a young creative team from 303Lowe, are competing in the Digital category of the Cannes Young Lions competition.
And we’re done. The reason we spent 20+ hours on a plane, took more time than that trip but felt much quicker. Tonight we feel pretty happy with our work. We’ll see how we’re feeling back in the Young Lions Briefing room at 10am tomorrow for the results.
Our client was the World Anti-Doping Agency. They wanted us to find a way to get to under 19 years old with the magic of banner advertising.
As we did in the previous 2 rounds we used the brief as a very rough guide and went after the simplest and best way we could think to get the message across.
Watching Liam code is not the most ideal way to spend a day in the French Rivera. Particularly when the other Australian Young Lions kept sending us photos of themselves swimming at
the Google Beach. However besides a couple hours smack in the middle where the iMac kept throwing out “memory full” alerts it all went well.
They served greatly appreciated lunch followed by a very tasty selection of desserts. The chatter was quite subdued between the teams. A few had clearly been up very late the night before looking for a solution. Regardless of tomorrow’s result I think we’re all genuinely amazed we’ve made it this far and received such a incredible opportunity.
