There was a bit of hostility in the room when it was announced that 303 had pipped The Brand Agency at the Bullshit Band Night. Campaign Brief was one of the three judges on the night and, not having the credentials of Dicko or Mark Holden, there was that “did we make the right choice” moment upon awakening at 8 am the next day.
In defense of our decision, The Brand came on after 4 pints of Becks and 303 appeared after 8 pints of Becks.
You be the judge… but a word of warning. Before you attempt to listen to this lot get at least 4 pints in you!

Yes they were robbed, but in all honesty, who can argue with boobies? I think it was generally acknowledged that 303 pulled a trump card, and hats were begrudgingly taken off to them. Maybe they didn’t rock so hard, maybe they didn’t rock, but they didn’t need to. I think the most appropriate course of action would be to start a full scale slanging match until the next battle. I think it should get dirty and personal. Then next year will either be completely awesome, or intensely violent. A good show either way. The Brand FF’s, with the wisdom and foresight that rock provides, realised this and kicked it off early.
So what ya got girls?
The Fuzzy Fuckers gave us something original and fun whilst 303 could have been substituted with Airbag (or any other number of cover bands kicking around Perth’s shitty pubs)
Let’s be honest here.
The best band on the night wasn’t Brand or 303. Cooch’s superband killed all others.

As the head groupie on the night, I feel I must have my say. Yes, it’s true. The Brand’s Fuzzy Fuckers were robbed. Let me tell you there was nothing fuzzy about their backstage performance….The girls from 303 were all duds- not a ticketed muff diver amongst them!
It sounds a little like sour grapes to me guys. This is the problem with this industry, you get so caught up in backstabbing your competitors you forget your supposed to be having fun. Even if 303 hadn’t won, we had a ripper night, far too many pints and many hilarious stories for Monday.
I’m sure the guys in each band had a great night too.
