Jungwirth returns to Meerkats
Meerkats has announced the permanent appointment of Art Director Jonathan Jungwirth (left). The Canadian Art Director was with Meerkats on a not-so-permanent basis just over a year ago as he funded his backpacking trip across Australia, which also took him to Lavender in Sydney.
While at Meerkats, Jungwirth helped with the HBF brand relaunch, among other projects, and managed to become ranked number three in last year’s WA Campaign Brief creative rankings.
He has honed his craft at several different Canadian agencies since he graduated with a design degree in 2002 and has received awards for his work ranging from a Silver Cannes Film Lion to best Annual Report at the Ad Rodeo Anvil awards.
Jungwirh’s appointment brings the tally of Meerkats creatives born in Canada to two and makes the Kats hands-down favourites to take out the next Battle of the Ad Bands Who Sound Like a Cross Between Celine Dion and William Shatner.
Jungwirth will be working alongside Paul Coghlan and replaces Rodrigo Cassini, who returned to his native Brazil earlier this year.
