Josh Elliott leaving 6IX to return east

6IX General Manager Josh Elliott (pictured) is leaving the station to return to the eastern states in a new role with Capital Radio owner Kevin Blyton’s group of companies.

6IX is operated by Perth Radio Pty Ltd, which is in turn part of Blyton’s Capital Radio Network. The local operation also includes digital stations Kix (Hot Country), X and My Perth Digital.

In his three years running the group, Elliott has lifted the profile and audience of 6IX, and oversaw its move out of 6PR’s East Perth studios to its own premises in Osborne Park at the end of last year.

Elliott’s last day will be June 19 and a replacement as GM is currently being sought.
