James Burke leaves Starcom to join Mitchells

The rollercoaster ride for Starcom in WA has continued with the resignation of current General Manager James Burke (pictured), who will join Mitchells in August as its Lotterywest team leader.

Burke has 23 years experience in the media industry, including seven years as director of his own independent media consultancy, Ergo Media. He joined Starcom WA as General Manager in March last year.

His appointment was seen as an important step in stabilising Starcom’s office here following a somewhat shaky start at the beginning of 2010 after splitting with Alan Matthews, who is now Managing Director of Mitchells in WA.
