The 2016 Mid-Year campaign invites audiences to consider applying to Murdoch by revealing the individual stories and experiences of real University students beyond the flat page, showcasing the distinct personality of the University through a digital burst.

“Murdoch is a challenger brand in a crowded and highly competitive market place,” said Paula Barrow, Director of Marketing, Communication and Advancement at Murdoch University. “The student experience, range of disciplines, levels of study, pathways to entry, differing study modes, and domestic and international study options are what make Murdoch unmistakably different. This campaign highlights the unique nature of our University through the personalisation of our student stories, experiences and plans for the future.”

Barrow said for the past twelve months the University had listened carefully to the market to understand how prospective students and their influencers react to the Think Murdoch campaign.

Audiences will be invited in to see the Murdoch experience and hear the pride and confidence of Murdoch students as they share and celebrate their individual stories and achievements.”

The energetic creative, designed internally features real students welcoming audiences in to an innovative prism design that uses the M of Murdoch as an illustrative representation of the student transformation through diverse education and career options.

“We will continue to innovate and find new ways to celebrate both our distinctive identity and our wonderfully diverse and eclectic student body by showcasing our people, our campus life and our unique student experience,” continued Barrow.

Murdoch University Associate Director of Marketing, Neil Cullingford said the University had evolved its advertising campaigns and marketing materials to present the reasons why prospective students should ‘Think Murdoch’ when considering their choice of university.

“Through the campaign we will bring our real student talent to the fore to continue the evolution of the Think Murdoch creative across a range of media,” Cullingford said. “Murdoch inspires talented students to not only succeed but to define their own path to success by encouraging them to think differently, arming them with real-world experience which will ultimately help them to shine in a rapidly-changing world.”

In the future the University plans to roll this concept out with the focus extended to include notable alumni and academics.
