Initiative partners with Telethon again
Initiative Perth, with much appreciated assistance from some key media and agency partners, has happily completed its fourth year partnering the WA Telethon.
Initiative and the support team were responsible for running the enhanced social-media presence and this year Facebook engagement alone reached over 250,000 uniques within WA.
The team was spearheaded by Initiative Senior Investments and Partnerships Manager Paige English.
Mario Dorazio, Channel 7 Managing Director, said: “We’re delighted Clive’s team volunteered again. They did a wonderful job targeting Telethon to a highly-engaged audience.

“The way the industry comes together is mind blowing. The kids of WA say thanks to our friends at Initiative, Southern Cross Austereo, JWT, 303 and APN. You’ve really helped make lives better. We look forward to their help for Telethon 51…and beating $36.4m next year!”
Telethon has been created by and belongs to the community of Western Australia who over five decades have generously donated more than $267 million to ensure a better life for WA children.
Generations of Western Australians have grown up with Telethon and through their generosity have had a major impact on some of the life-threatening diseases that can afflict our children, including brain cancer and leukemia. Through Telethon, equipment has been provided for children in hospital, critical services for children with disabilities and life-changing opportunities for disadvantaged children.
