Initiative appointed to Murdoch University media
Media communications agency Initiative Perth has been awarded the media planning and buying for Murdoch University, bringing the contract back to Perth after the business was previously handled out of Melbourne.
Murdoch had considered proposals from other media agencies before deciding to shift the contract back to a leading WA agency. The contract was previously handled by Mindshare Melbourne.
Chris O’Keefe (pictured), Managing Director of Initiative Perth, said Murdoch University was a great win for the agency.
“The team at Murdoch University are forward-thinkers who have a clear vision for the future,” he said. “We are excited to be partnering with them during this stage of their development and look forward to helping bring their vision to life.”
Rachel Bruechle, Marketing and Digital Media Manager at Murdoch University, said they were “…extremely pleased to be welcoming Initiative into the Murdoch team.”
“Their credentials in the media planning and buying space are without question, and of equal importance to us is the evidence of their innovation and collaboration in working together with our long-standing brand planning and creative partner, Meerkats, to achieve outstanding results for local brands.
“With the tertiary education space having become increasingly competitive and cluttered in recent years we are confident that Initiative, in conjunction with our other communications partners, will assist us in carving out a unique niche for Murdoch,” said Bruechle.
Murdoch University has grown substantially in recent years and currently has over 22,000 students, and 2,000 staff from over 90 different countries, and offers around 200 undergraduate and postgraduate courses. The University has three W.A. campuses, located in Murdoch, Rockingham and Mandurah, in addition to its international presence in Singapore and Dubai.
