iiNet revels in a ‘Life Upgraded’ with launch of new integrated brand campaign via BWM
iiNet has launched a new brand campaign which celebrates its customer service and innovative new products for which the leading challenger telco prides itself.
The integrated campaign, developed with advertising partner BWM, kicked off nationally on 23 September with television, cinema, radio, print, online and outdoor activity making up the mix. iiNet is also the first company to utilise AirLink technology in a campaign.
iiNet’s chief marketing officer, Wendy Walker, said the brand campaign is designed to speak to a broader audience, particularly those that may not be aware of iiNet.
Says Walker: “We (iiNet) love technology but it’s really always been more about how that technology can enhance people’s lives.
“There’s this intrinsic importance of customer experience to absolutely everything we do so when I was looking at developing a new brand campaign, I wanted to ensure that our organisational DNA was really at the heart of it.
“This integrated campaign delivers a message about what iiNet does best. The breadth of our product offering, our passion for innovation and our focus on awesome customer service.”

These seem to lack the usual high standard for iinet, the offer is buried, the male vo at the end & call to action are particularly weak – they look like an afterthought…well done BWM, you’re making Meerkats look like a star.
Did Tony Abbott get a hold of the iiNet guy?
The Meerkats are too nice to post anything on a CB blog. But they must feel a little twinkle of encourgement when they see how contrived this campaign is.
I actually thought the iinet guy was far less annoying and try hard in these. The performances were a lot more natural as opposed to the usual forced quirky that we’ve come to expect.
Regardless, neither come even close to the charm of the original Apple vs PC Character that this campaign is so blatantly ripped from.
I didnt realise IINET had expanded its service offering to installing shelves. Perhaps I will buy a device so they can come around to my place and finish off the IKEA bookcase i purchased 3 years ago.
Contrived? I think the use of this bloke works much better in this latest campaign. Although, I admit I missed the tag at the end when I was watching it on TV. Thank christ for YouTube, eh!
Bitching on here is not going to bring the account back to Perth
