Here they come. Ideas. Big ones. Mindblowers.
Because, let’s face it, that’s what you need these days. If ideas are our business, cracking them is our trade. Sure they taunt and they linger in the dark – but this is not a pursuit best faced alone. No. Powerful ideas demand more.
They deserve a line up of pros. They are worthy of a festival. And lucky for you, The Annual PADC Festival of Ideas is coming. In this all-day event, you will hear from our fabulous line up of speakers with some new and exciting challenges to create some mind-blowing ideas. So make a mental note. Or go mental when you miss out.
Where: The Deck, Little Creatures
When: Saturday 14th September 9am; drinks and dinner with speakers to follow
New to the agenda: Fast and Furious 48
This year’s Festival of Ideas will feature an event called ‘Fast and Furious 48’. It will be similar to the popular “The Pitch” segment on The Gruen Transfer, where teams will be required to submit a solution to a brief. Our special guest speakers will be on the panel to discuss, dissect and select the winning idea.
This will be a real brief and the winning solution will not only be produced but also published. Entry is restricted to students and junior teams. Mid and senior level agency creatives are not eligible, but will have the chance to preview WA’s up and coming talent. All attendees will receive the brief 48 hours before the event.
On the day, Chairman Matt Eastwood will create a short list of finalists. These will be revealed at the midday break and the finalists will be given the opportunity to present their idea to the panel.
The judges will score each individually and all numbers will be tallied to create a top three. The winner will be chosen at the conclusion of any argument, debate and, if necessary, fisty cuffs.
