Henry & Aaron’s dark and hilarious look at Christmas follows the international success of their digital short, Henry & Aaron’s Perfectly Adequate Christmas Special (2010), web series Henry & Aaron’s 7 Steps to Superstardom (2011), and viral sensation It’s A Snap! (2012).

Created for Central Institute of Technology in Perth, It’s a Snap! put Henry & Aaron on the international map when the surprise viral hit achieved over 3 million hits on YouTube and resulted in the creative team, Inglis, McCann and their producer, Lauren Elliott being signed with Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles. The trio have been developing several comedy projects for the last 12 months and are thrilled to bring their first ever ABC production to life.

“All of our favourite comedy programs in Australia have been produced by the ABC, so we see it as the perfect home for Henry & Aaron. The boys and I hope to work with the team at the ABC for many years to come to produce some fresh, irreverent and original comedy,” said Elliott.

Henry & Aaron’s first Christmas Special saw Aaron kidnap and torture Santa for giving him terrible presents each year. This year, Aaron is kidnapped on Christmas Eve. His best friend, Detective Henry Inglis, knows that the elusive Yuletide Killer is behind it. Will he be able to save Aaron before the killer’s twisted game reaches its bloody conclusion?

The episode also stars James Helm as the unstoppable Danny ‘The Dynamite’ Danielson as well as Perth comedy stars, Ben Sutton, Liam Graham and Paul ‘Werzel’, Montague who is reprising his role as Santa.

To celebrate the impending release, Henry & Aaron are throwing a rooftop Christmas Party at brand new bar Dave’s Cans, atop the old MYER building in Fremantle at 6pm this Saturday, December 14. The party will kick off summer with cheap drinks, delicious snacks and live music from Mathas, Empty and DJ Silence, as well as a very special guest DJ appearance from Danny ‘The Dynamite’ Danielson.

Tickets are only $10 on the door and spaces are limited so first in, best dressed!
