CindyHenderson_Feb2016_BLOG.jpgOMDWA Implementation Director Cindy Henderson (pictured) has resigned to join the WA sales team at News Corp Australia.

Henderson has been with the media agency for the past two-and-a-half years. Prior to that she spent six years at Carat and five years at Arnoul Media, working with OMDWA Managing Director Angela Nutton.

Henderson has over 25 years experience in the industry, having started at Mojo Perth in 1987. Her career also included stints at Markeforce, BCY, Baynham, The Shorter Group and Leo Burnett Singapore.

Nutton told staff: “Cindy has been an been a truly tireless worker and colleague that has united us all on many levels. I am very sad to bid her farewell but I personally know all about her amazing abilities on the sales side and know that she will embrace the challenge beautifully.”

Henderson will finish on March 9.

Though not connected, Henderson’s departure coincides with news that OMD has lost the Tourism WA media buying account to Carat, the WA Government’s other master media agency. It is understood Carat offered TWA a remuneration schedule that OMD was unwilling to match.

Media strategy on the account is led by creative agency Cummins +Partners.
