Hel’s Belles to honour Helen Filov in Weekend to End Women’s Cancers 60-kilometre Walk

HelenFilov_BLOG2.jpgHelen Filov, one of the most popular and loved media professionals in WA, passed away suddenly in May this year after being diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia just two and a half weeks earlier.

In memory and in honour of Helen, friends and family have formed a team named Hel’s Belles to participate in The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers 60-kilometre Walk.

The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers benefits the Harry Perkins Institute of Medical Research. The two-day, 60km walk through the neighbourhoods of Perth will be a challenge, but they’re ready to do something bold and powerful in effort to end women’s cancers once and for all.

Hel’s Belles are aiming to raise $14,000 and they’re nearly half way there.
