HBF radio via Meerkats: Promoting the lowest complaints in health insurance

These radio ads for HBF from Meerkats reminds us the importance of ‘hospital cover’. Even when you are too busy to organize HBF health cover your hectic schedule might result in you needing it. The campaign was written by Kurt Beaudoin and directed by Eardrum Sydney’s Ralph van Dijk

What was that nugget in between all that confusion?? HBF members register less industry complaints in proportion to market share of population than members of any other health fund?? WOW!!
Why doesn’t Kurt do his HBF radio in Perth? I’m sure we could do just as good a job locally. The talent casting and direction by Eardrum are mediocre at best. Is this just another example of the “Wise Man fromm the East” syndrome?
Uh.. ok… You know not every ad done in Perth needs to appear here, right?
Disappointing stuff, they set the bar high, then failed at the first attempt.
Surely this is a brave and innovative attempt at two-part experiential radio? The initial ad sounds very bad and must therefore be unwell. Somehow something good will happen thanks to hbf health insurance and the follow-up ad will suddenly sound much better. Or something like that. Bingo Cannes metal!
I agree with 12.59. Surely Perth agencies aren’t so desperate for the spotlight that they have to post every bit of work on the CB website. Having these spots to go to air is all the exposure this campaign really needs.
