Graeme Hill appointed as new Programming, Marketing and Communications Manager at Nine Perth as Wendy McKillop relocates to Sydney

Channel Nine Perth has appointed Graeme Hill (pictured) as Programming, Marketing and Communications Manager for its Western Australian operations.

Hill has over 30 years of experience in television in various capital cities throughout Australia and has held senior executive positions in programming, marketing, promotions, sponsorship management and publicity with the Seven Network from 1987 to 2014.

Hill achieved outstanding rating success in Melbourne over a number of years and was instrumental in the introduction and scheduling of the Seven Network’s first digital station. He is regarded as a leader in television marketing and communications  with a focus on delivering strong commercial results and building key relationships.

“I am very excited to be joining the Nine Network Perth in this role and can’t wait to get started,” he said.

Ray Wardrop, Managing Director of Channel Nine in Perth, has worked with Hill when both were at Seven and welcomed his appointment.

“Hillie and I have worked closely together for many years from opposite sides of the country and to now have him as part of my team in Perth is a great opportunity for us. He is highly regarded by his peers and colleagues and possesses great creativity and passion for the television business.”

Hill will commence in role on Monday November 23.

He takes over Marketing and Communications duties from Wendy McKillop who is relocating to Sydney after two years with the station.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Nine Perth as a member of the executive team since the Nine Network purchased the station in September 2013”, said McKillop. “It has been wonderful to be part of the team that saw Nine Perth become the highest growing TV station in Australia in the first twelve months since the Nine took over.”

McKillop will finish on Friday November 27.
