Gettin Hectic gives Fringe World Festival goers a chance to get lucky with Lotterywest

Lotterywest has engaged specialist experiential marketing agency, Gettin Hectic, to create a highly engaging brand experience for thousands of Fringe-goers at this year’s FRINGE WORLD Festival. The experience, which runs until February 25, helps to showcase the unique role Lotterywest plays as the nation’s only State-owned lottery, returning over $265 million to the Western Australian community last financial year alone.
The activation brings to life the depth and breadth of grants given to the community through Lotterywest and features the ‘Lucky Lounge’, a Lotterywest-branded laid-back lounge experience in the hub of the busy Perth Cultural Centre. A place to relax and watch Fringe go by, the ‘Lucky Lounge’ gives visitors the chance to win a range of prizes through experiences that bring Lotterywest games to life including Lotto, Set for Life and Scratch’n’Win.

The area features deck chairs and is backed by a huge mosaic mural of a quintessentially Western Australian beach path landscape highlighting the names of community groups supported by Lotterywest grants.
The first week of the activation (2 to 9 February) focussed on the $21 million Saturday Lotto Superdraw held in 10 February and Lotterywest Scratch’n’Win games.
Lounge guests had the chance to pick an illuminated Lotto ball for a chance to win $200 cash and a Slikpik 30 ticket for the Superdraw, or spin the lucky Scratch’n’Win wheel for a chance to win one of almost 10,000 scratchies.
Thanks in part to the Lucky Lounge sales for the February Superdraw outperformed four previous ones and Western Australia took home a fair share of the Division 1 prize pool with thee lucky Western Australian players picking up a Division 1 prize worth $1.5 million each.
While Scratch’n’Win competitions will continue throughout the activation, a Set for Life experience has just launched where guests can get ‘Set for Fringe’ and take advantage of some pampering experiences.
“Lotterywest wanted to highlight the connection between their games and the grants in the mind of the WA public,” said Managing Director of Gettin Hectic, David Saraga.
“Without those who purchase Lotterywest products, events like FRINGE are far less likely to happen. Thanks to the team at both Lotterywest and GH we’ve managed to create an amazing and effective experience that showcases that connection,” he added.
You can get your game on at ‘The Lucky Lounge’ every night from 6pm at Perth Cultural Centre until the end of Fringe on 25 February 2018.
Lotterywest is the proud principal partner of FRINGE WORLD, which has become Western Australia’s biggest festival of its kind and the third largest FRINGE in the world.
