Gatecrasher has unfortunately had to retrench six staff members following the loss of the Curtin University business to The Brand Agency. It is believed one of them has already been contacted by another agency and offered a job.

Sad news and best wishes to the six of ’em. Been in the same position, twas a shock at first but really was a blessing in disguise.
Can’t believe it took that many people to work on one client. Weren’t they on other business too?

It is an ominous sign of the way our industry is going that GC couldn’t commit to the very people that worked hard to save accounts when they most needed their support. The day the Curtin news broke should have been the one that bound the agency together in search of common goals – learning from mistakes, becoming hungrier, challenging for and winning new business. Good luck in the future to the unlucky ones today.

8.50 are you a complete moron? your comments are spoken like a true westy. money doesn’t grow on trees. that’s the nature of the beast, we all know it and it could happen to any of us. yes, it’s really sad 6 people had to lose their jobs, but we all choose to work in this industry because we love it, and we understand the way it works.
Really sad to hear. Some great people at GC, as there are at Brand. But always sad to hear of people losing jobs when the business moves on.
