Former breakfast radio stars Heidi Anderson has a tell-all moment on The Experts Podcast

One of Perth’s former breakfast radio stars Heidi Anderson has a ‘tell-all’ moment with the team of the Experts Podcast Carmen Braidwood and Nic Hayes. Heidi goes deep into what it was like to lose her former co-hosts, becoming a mum, anxiety and starting a new business. Having just come off a four-day silent retreat Heidi had a lot to say and didn’t hold back on her former employers, co-hosts, mental health, family and now this new direction as a marketing coach.

Heidi talks about her time on radio where she was not able to be herself. The disappointment of her departing co-hosts Will and Woody heading back over east to national radio gig had an impact on the psyche. The management of her behaviour by bosses was sometimes stifling and something that Heidi struggled with. Her love of broadcasting and entertaining is evident, and she grieved that decision to not return to radio. It was a decision while walking along the beach with her husband and baby Memphis that she knew she could not go back.

Anderson really connects with former breakfast host Carmen Braidwood who got goosebumps listening to Heidi’s story. The challenges both as a female broadcaster and realisation moment you know you aren’t going back to that chosen field hit home with the host of the Experts Podcast. Carmen now a confidence in front of camera coach really felt the pain, anxiety and confusion that comes when you are trying to make your way in the highly competitive world of breakfast radio.

Heidi is using her time and experience in media to help women own their own space in marketing. To not feel like they must conform to what is expected of them. In short, she is helping business owners be themselves. Feel confident and assured that they can do it and that they don’t have to do it like everyone else. Like everything Heidi is doing today her filter has been completely dropped and the title of the program ‘Memorable as F#%k Marketing’ is getting breakthrough with the very people looking to make impact.
