Final Campaign Brief Award for 2016 – Challenger Agency of the Year – closes 4.00pm today
Entries for fifteen of the sixteen Campaign Brief Awards for 2016 have closed, with the final award – Challenger Agency of the Year – closing at 4.00pm today.
The award recognises that there is a wide spread of businesses in the industry doing interesting, creative and effective work for their clients. Innovative, resourceful, nimble and smart, they are challenging the notion of what an agency is and how campaigns are delivered. The award is open to agencies and consultancies with up to 15 staff.
Entries for the other awards have been strong across the board.
In the 9 Creative Awards, total entries are the same as last year. Marketforce leads the way with 32 entries, followed by The Brand Agency with 30 although both are down on last year (Marketforce -6; Brand -4).
303 MullenLowe has 22 (+3), while Meerkats has 13 (-9).
J Walter Thompson leads in increased entries, up to 21 from last year’s 14. And after having no entries last year, Gatecrasher is back in the game with 7 this year.
As usual, Radio (Single) is the strongest category with 26 entries followed by Out of Home with 21. Integrated Campaign is next with 19 entries, up from 15 last year. And Press Campaign has bounced back from a disappointing level last year with 6 quality entries this year.
Overall the standard of work is very good, with several contenders in each category to give our judges plenty to think about.
Five agencies are in the running for Agency of the Year, which based on the submissions received is wide open.
The winners of all the Campaign Brief Awards – including Advertiser, Ad Person, Supernova, Media Organisation and Media Agency of the Year – will be announced at the 2016 Oasis Ball at the new Crown Ballroom on Friday, April 29.
