NEWS GRAPHIC DESIGNER – THE WEST AUSTRALIAN

If you are a creative and energetic graphic designer The West Australianis offering you the chance to join its editorial team of designers. Theposition will allow you to develop page design and information graphicsfor news, sport, business, opinion pieces and feature articles.

Youwill need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and flexible team approachwhile working to strict deadlines and in a variety of styles andtechniques from full colour liftouts to information graphics andPhotoshop image manipulation. It would be an advantage forcandidates to have a degree or diploma in Graphic Design and have usedAdobe Creative Suite. Publishing experience is also preferred.

Thesuccessful applicant will need to work afternoon and evening shifts. Asalary in line with your record of achievement will be offered.

ART DIRECTOR – BBAM

BBAM seeks an experienced Art Director to join its busy creative team.

Tocomplement your natural design capability, you’re a strategic andconceptual thinker who consistently delivers the ‘big idea’ in the faceof tight deadlines. Experience in a full-service advertising agency isessential and if you can build websites and/or operate FLASH, we’dparticularly like to hear from you.

BBAM is a small butclose-knit unit, so the ability to work as part of a team is essential.You know your way around a MAC and are highly proficient in mostgraphic design software. Working on a wide variety of accounts, you cancreate a TV storyboard in the morning, design a retail catalogue in theafternoon, and conceptualise a flash banner before you go home. And youcan pitch in and complete finished art is required.

Salary is commensurate with experience: if you’ve got the goods, we pay well.
