Emergence, WA’s own world-class creative festival, commences next week in Margaret River
The Emergence Creative Festival kicks off next week in Margaret River with its biggest program yet to celebrate five years of running.
The event turns the Margaret River region into a creative playground for a four-day creative festival featuring a two-day creative conference, with inspiring keynote speakers from across the globe not only delivering keynotes at the conference at Vasse Felix, but getting involved in all the festival has to offer.
This year keynote speakers tackle the theme of “Capturing attention and retaining it” and include JWT New York’s Chief Creative Officer, Matt Eastwood; Membrain LLC Los Angeles President, Jennifer Sullivan; TVNZ in Auckland’s Executive Creative Director, Jens Hertzum and Birds of Tokyo members Adam Spark and Glenn Sarangapany amongst others which can all be found on the festival’s website.
A host of workshop and colab sessions are available to attend across the four days, from Songwriting with members of the Birds of Tokyo, to Creative Writing with The Windy Season’s Sam Carmody; ‘Packaging Design Unpacked’ with the guys from The Voice Studio Adelaide; Our ‘Coffee Series’ workshops with Rodney Glick, Lifestyle and Sport/Flash Photography Workshops with Ian & Erick Regnard, Amazen Drone Race and many others.
As always, the festival delivers with a range of satellite and networking events, kicking off with The opening night Creative Crawl on March 29 that sees the main street of Margaret River come alive in a progressive night of live music at over 10 venues, live art and performance and great food specials. Performances include the likes of Elli Schoen, Valentine, Ben Catley, Brayden Sibbald, Southern River Band, Moonlighter, Michael Triscari and more.
The not-to-be missed Closing Party at the White Elephant kicks off on Friday night (31st March) and features music by Mosquito Coast, Lilt, The Axiom and Kachina DJ’s, visual surprises, food by MRHG, Colonial Beer and cider and some of the region’s best wine. It’s the chance to let your hair down with the keynote and colab speakers and celebrate after a creativity-filled few days. Tickets extremely limited and on sale now.
The Australian Drone Film Festival plus the ‘best of’ Flying Robot International Drone Film Festival features at the Beer Farm on Sat April 1st. Featuring live music from Blue Child Collective and Dallas Royal and after party with BOSTON SWITCH and Private Pickle.
