DoghouseSIMON_BLOG.jpgPerth and Melbourne digital agency Doghouse has won a Acquia Engage Award for digital experience delivery, against an international field of agencies and web developers.

Acquia is a company that offers paid services using Drupal open-source software, one of the world’s most widely used programs for CMS. It was founded by Dries Buytaert, who released Drupal in 2001. Acquia partners and customers submitted more than 200 nominations to this year’s award program across 17 categories. Nominations that demonstrated an advanced level of visual design, functionality, integration and overall experience advanced to the finalist round, where an outside panel of experts selected the winning projects.

Doghouse’s winning website project was in the Public Sector category, for the Federal Department of Environment and Energy’s ‘State of the Environment’ report.

Doghouse Agency’s CEO Simon Shackleton (pictured) paid tribute to the UX, technical architects and developers for turning a 1,000 page report into a feature rich solution.

“I am absolutely in awe of the team and the way they planned and solved such a complex challenge”, he said. “This is an incredible accolade to have beaten the best-in-class worldwide from the City of Los Angeles, Ogilvy (New South Wales Treasury), South Florida Water Management, Brisbane City Council, and Deloitte Digital.”
