Dentsu Aegis re-schedules Christmas

Dentsu-35.jpgDentsu_IMG_4494.jpgDentsu_P1080407.jpgBased on overwhelming evidence contained in most Christmas cards, carols and movies, the schedule for Christmas in Australia is ill-considered. So the strategists and planners at 448 Fitzgerald Street set about righting the wrongs and re-scheduled Christmas for July 25 – smack bang in the middle of winter, where it rightly belongs.

The result was an hilarious night for the media industry – Christmas in July hosted by Carat, Vizeum, Mitchell and Haystac. As the photos will attest, everyone got into the spirit of the night and there were some amazing costumes, with Evoke Media’s Elaine Barry winning the top prize for her Christmas Tree outfit. Channel Seven’s Andy Ward, dressed as one of the Three Wise Men, won in the Contradiction category.

Mother Christmas (Anne Bilsby, stylishly dressed as a ham bag) and her team of helpers (Carissa, Caroline, Sarah, Astrida, Kate and Melanie) did a magnificent job of transforming the staff breakout area into a winter wonderland. Combine this with sled-loads of great food, endless booze and live music by  Roger Roger  and the night was a guaranteed success.

Photos on arrival with Santa (Alan Matthews) set the tone for a very funny night.
