Dan Bradley exits Meerkats
Meerkats co-Creative Director Dan Bradley (pictured) has resigned from the agency to pursue a new branded experience design venture.
“I’ve enjoyed creating ideas like the Effie-shortlisted Brownes ‘Natural Silence’ over the past few years” said Bradley. “But I’ve also been building a ‘Design Thinking’ offering, which has applied my knowledge of brand, visual, digital and spatial design to create more meaningful brand experiences for a range of innovative clients, large and small”.
“After visiting SXSW last year I grew really passionate about the power of this to affect the bottom line, so want to focus on the intersection of these disciplines. Having worked in London and Australia leading teams of talented specialists, I’m able to offer something uniquely different and it’s exciting that there are a number of projects where I’m already consulting with Meerkats.”
Bradley has been with the agency since 2010, when he moved to Perth from the UK where his experience included running his own design agency for 10 years. Initially employed as Head of Brand Design, he was elevated to Creative Director in 2014.
“I look forward to seeing how the Kats evolve over the next few years and it’s been great to have been part of their journey to date,” he said.
Bradley is the latest of several departures from the agency, with Art Director Matt Nankivell having left in May to pursue a long-held ambition to try his luck in the UK. Junior Art Director Alice Cogin, a product of the FuturKats program, left last week to move to Sydney.
Managing Director Gavin Bain said Meerkats’ creative resource was being restructured under the overall direction of recently anointed Chief Creative Officer Martin Beecroft, with some senior appointments including a Creative Director to be announced in the coming weeks.
