Only three weeks to go before Campaign Brief and a handful ofAussies (as opposed to over 400 last year) defy the recession and lobup to Cannes for the 2009 International Advertising Festival.
Thisyear’s Cannes promises to be a big one for Australia (just like thelast big recession year, 1991, when Oz was placed #3in the world) withthe strong possibility of a massive haul of Lions and even the oddGrand Prix or two.
As a reminder of what fun it was at Cannes in2008, a few months before the GFC hit the fan, watch the CB Videoblogof the last day of the Festival.

So what are the local tips for glory?
The same story on the national blog contains a request and link from Lynchy to contact him if you’re going to Cannes this year. This is “so you are kept in the loop re: functions during the week.” So Martin, why has the link been omitted for the WA blog. Are we in WA not good enough for Lynchy?
12.04pm. Not after last year.
We didn’t vote for Daylight Savings. We can get fucked.
Hey I used Dick-Head last week as a frustrated last resort. The blog police translated it to *@#!-Head yet clearly the comment above uses the ‘f’ word.
A little consistency please CB?
