Charlene D’Monte elevated to senior marketing manager position at The Sunday Times
The Sunday Times has promoted Charlene D’Monte to the senior marketing manager position.
D’Monte (pictured left), who is currently marketing communications manager, will report to Michelle d’Almeida, managing director of The Sunday Times. She replaces Scott Waters who was promoted in January this year to the division’s head of digital role, driving the paper’s digital operations.
As senior marketing manager D’Monte will lead consumer marketing strategy and execution to drive growth and support the business objectives of The Sunday Times and PerthNow across platforms.
d’Almeida said: “Charlene knows The Sunday Times, its brands and the WA market intimately. She is an exceptional, customer-focused leader and brings fantastic marketing and communications experience to this new role. I’m delighted to be promoting her to lead marketing for The Sunday Times and PerthNow across print, digital, mobile and tablet.”
D’Monte said: “The Sunday Times and PerthNow are two of the most respected and innovative brands in the state delivering the best news, features and analysis from leading journalists and opinion writers.
“Our brand position has never been stronger following the refresh of The Sunday Times in print as well as PerthNow’s online and mobile site. Additionally, the launch of our ‘We’re for WA’ campaign has enhanced the emotional connection we share with our consumers.
“I’m looking forward to continuing the momentum we’ve built in market and further developing the relationship we have with our readers.”
D’Monte started at The Sunday Times in 2006 and has held various marketing roles. She joined The Sunday Times from Medibank Private in Melbourne where she was Campaign Manager – Southern States responsible for the strategic implementation of marketing and sponsorship campaigns. She has also held marketing and business development roles at Ernst & Young and Western QBE Insurance (now QBE Insurance) in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne.

Well done Charlene.
Please, please help. The last set of ANZAC coins are as rare as hens teeth, as they say. I cannot find the last set of coins anywhere. Can I pay for them direct from The Sunday Times?
I was the fortunate winner of the ANZAC books for my granddaughters School Library at Bletchley Park Primary. The library were very pleased. My daughter and I along with my granddaughters collected them from your reception. Other than being thrilled to win the set the greeting or should I say non-greeting from the very assertive Receptionist was noticed by all. Even the girls commented “well she wasn’t very friendly was she Nanna”. Worth noting the receptionist is the eye to the business!
Still an avid reader of the Sunday Times thankyou.
