Calling budding entrepreneurs – pitch your big idea at Startup Weekend Perth November 21-23

The next Startup Weekend Perth is being held at Spacecubed from Friday to Sunday, November 21st – 23rd.

Startup Weekend Perth is an action packed 54 hours of intense hacking and hustling that tests participants entrepreneurial and team building skills to the limit. It’s suited to developers, designers, suits and creatives who wish to pitch that ‘big idea’ they’ve been sitting on but haven’t had the time, client, brief or budget for.

For the first time, this event will also be part of the Global Startup Battle – a global celebration of innovation that gives you, your idea, and your city a unique chance at startup success. This is a great opportunity to showcase some of the amazing talent in Perth.

Startup Weekend involves the pitching of ideas by those who elect to do so. Ideas are voted on with teams formed around the most popular. Each idea is then thoroughly tested using lean startup principles to see if it will work and is worth pursuing with some teams having to pivot (change their business model or idea) throughout the weekend. On the Sunday evening each team pitches to a panel of judges consisting of seasoned startup industry professionals with prizes awarded.
