Gatecrasher’s new print work for Burswood Entertainment Complex has been chosen as the best print ad of the week on BestAds. Hopefully this is the first of several international accolades this work will receive. This week’s BestAds review was undertaken by Paul Catmur.

That is awesome guys, well done!
If AWARD can get rid of all the dodgy asian scam stuff by next year, this should have a good chance. Fingers crossed
Onya cobs crack a tinnie and blow the froth off a couple. crikey its a little fuckn bewdy – a real ripsnorter. give us a coo-ee soon when yers up for a chin wag.
“Dodgy asian scam stuff”???
You are forgetting this came out of an initiative brief provided by a very generous West Australian newspaper. There is no way gatecrasher or any other agency down there would have come up with this ad to a normal brief.
Is it dodgy that there was no brief?
Well done on a nice ad. Mind you, don’t enter it to One Show and certainly don’t judge yourself on AWARD. Do another 6 of the same quality this year and then you can be proud.
Ex Perth.
Let’s see your six
9.39.
I’m guessing 11.54 was being ironic. But you do raise a valid point about how One Show’s decision will impact on stuff like the West’s Caxton competition. If trying to raise creative standards and encouraging clients to take greater risk in print are to be lumped in with “genuine” scam, what is the point in anyone trying anymore? In my opinion the award bodies will simply have to bite the bullet and undertake to check the authenticity of any ads at finalist stage by contacting the client directly. If this means higher entrance fees, so be it.
