With Rio Tinto holding celebrations and events in Perth and the Pilbara, The Brand Agency has been responsible for all advertising, collateral and web development, as well as event planning and management.

The latest event was the 50th celebration dinner on 26th August, attended by a wide range of local, national and international guests who played an integral part in the development of Rio Tinto’s iron ore business.

Held at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, the 650 person event was attended by top executives from Rio Tinto and key stakeholders including Julie Bishop and Colin Barnett and included performances by the Perth Symphony Orchestra and DR Richard Walley, OAM.

Alison Ray, Head of Strategy at The Brand Agency said “It’s a great compliment that a company such as Rio Tinto chose to partner with us to help them celebrate 50 years. We got to put our range of communications skills to work, helping one of the most influential business’ in the state. It’s hard to imagine what Western Australia would be today without the impact of Rio Tinto.”

“We’ve always done event management for our clients, but organizing exhibits across 5 Pilbara towns has been a new challenge. And culminating with such a large scale and important event as the 50th anniversary dinner, it’s been a great opportunity to show our broader offering”.

Lisa Holland-McNair, Manager Corporate Relations at Rio Tinto, said “This year has been about celebrating and recognizing the many thousands of people who have contributed towards our success – especially our employees. Brand Agency has helped capture the essence of what these celebrations are about, and worked with us throughout the year to help make our ideas come to life”.
