Bonfire awards $1,000 as part of AI-Generated Competition to Moonsail’s Bradley Scott
The major prize winner of Bonfire’s Marketer vs. Machine competition was announced on Friday 9th June. Bradley Scott, a Perth marketer from Moonsail, won $1,000 in cash plus a bottle of specially-crafted wine for submitting the correct answer to an AI- generated puzzle.
Scott was joined by runners-up Adam Brown and Mitch Mitchell as prize winners for the competition.
The Marketer vs. Machine competition leveraged artificial intelligence to create a puzzle requiring two keywords to solve. The keywords were hidden in advertising materials in the lead-up to Campaign Brief’s 2023 Oasis Ball and required participants to translate binary code into text.
The winners were randomly drawn from all entries that featured the two correct keywords.
The competition was the brainchild of Rene LeMerle, General Manager – Growth at Bonfire.
“Everyone is talking about jobs being lost due to the advancement of AI.” LeMerle said. “We thought, what better way to celebrate the incredible marketing talent we have in WA than running a competition created with AI and aligning it with WA’s biggest industry awards night, the Oasis Ball.”
Congratulations to the winners and everyone who participated.
