AUSTRALIAN YOUNG LIONS COMPETITION 2009

TheAustralian Young Lions Competition 2009, which is open to advertisingprofessionals under the age of 28, identifies young talent within thedomestic media, advertising and marketing communications industry.
Thewinners of the competition, who will be chosen by a panel of industryleaders, will represent Australia in the worldwide Young LionsCompetition at this year’s Cannes Lions International AdvertisingFestival, where they will compete against 40 other nationalrepresentatives.
There are three categories in the Australian Young Lions Competition 2009 – Media, Print and Cyber.
Thisyear, the Media Young Lions category brief will be judged in twostages. Two winner’s will be selected from each state who will competein a national final to be held in Sydney. The Media Young Lion briefwill be based on a number of News Limited media assets. The Print YoungLions Competition brief is for Moshtix and the Cyber Young LionsCompetition brief is for Vogue Australia 50th Anniversary.
NewsLimited will send the six winning Australian Young Lions to theFestival, covering flights, accommodation and Festival registration.
Thedeadline for submissions for the Australian Young Lions Competition is5pm on Monday, 2nd March 2009. The winning entries will be announced atthe end of April.
