ATTIX print ad wins Silver gong for SHED at the 2013 AdStars International Advertising Festival
SHED has picked up a Silver award in the Print category for their ATTIX newspaper ad at the 2013 AdStars International Advertising Festival held at the end of last week in Busan, Korea.
The awards festival, now in it’s 6th year, is the largest international festival in North Asia and attracted over 12,000 entries from 59 countries this year. Nearly 2,000 delegates attended the Festival with around 60,000 general public going through the huge exhibition areas.
Heading the judging panel this year was Jacques Seguela, vice president & global chief creative officer, Havas Worldwide. (and the “S” in Euro RSCG). Other jurors included Hans Brindfors from Sweden, who designed and launched the Absolute Vodka bottle as well as leading the IKEA work for 35 years; David Guerrero, chairman & chief creative officer, BBDO Guerrero Philippines; Bruno Bertelli, ECD Publicis Italy and one of Japan’s most awarded creative directors, Morihiro Harano, who created Xylophone amongst many other award winners.
Other Australian winners at AdStars this year included Metro Trains “Dumb Ways To Die” (Grand Prix in Public Service); Clemenger BBDO Melbourne’s Carlton “Beer Chase” (Gold); and Havas Sydney’s Virgin “Fair Go Bro” (Gold). There were 16 Grand Prix awards handed out at the awards night – including two Grand Prix of the Year awards that won $10,000 each.
