AGDA WA presents Design Strategy Design: The interplay between design and business strategy

AGDA_DesignStrategy_BLOG.jpgIn a world where the market is changing, designers need to offer more than great craft and a competitive price. The most powerful and competitive tool we have at our fingertips is strategic design thinking.

Greg Branson of the Design Business Council and Euan Black of Hart Black, come together in Design Strategy Design to show you how to implement design strategy within your own business and for your clients.

For a design studio strategy begins at home

Greg will discuss how a design studio can successfully apply strategic design thinking to their business model by finding their unique offering and then applying strategic design thinking. He will share a case study of a design studio that built a growth strategy from the ground up based on their unique talents. The case study will take you through the process step-by-step giving you a template to follow. By building our own growth or sustainability strategies such as this we are then able to refine the art of design strategy, a service we are then able to sell to our clients.

Honing an individual approach to strategy is the key to differentiation

Euan Black will also share his own experiences of taking a client on the design strategy journey and show you how he developed a unique approach to problem-solving that was individual to his client.
