adzoo launches Zoo Gives Two

ZooGivesTwo_BLOG.JPGPerth agency adzoo has launched its corporate volunteering program, Zoo Gives Two. The program will see adzoo staff receive one day per annum paid leave to volunteer at a cause close to their heart and one day per annum where the team will collectively volunteer.

Director of Account Service, Jarrod Greenwood, said coming off a successful 2014, adzoo had worked hard to ensure that its company culture and brand values remain in check.  Part of that involves quarterly workshops with an external consultant, which saw overwhelming staff support for a program of this kind.

“In 2014, adzoo and our staff were involved informally in supporting a number of beneficial causes throughout the year such as Lifeline WA,” said Greenwood. “Zoo Gives Two now allows us to put some framework and governance around this initiative to ensure that our staff are getting the best benefit out of their volunteering experience. To formalise this process we have become corporate partners with Volunteering WA, who are the experts in setting up these arrangements.”

“Part of that commitment will see our employees come back to the office and present on their volunteering experience, so as to share what they learnt, and spread awareness for their charity of choice with the team and our clients.”

Greenwood also said, “I’m pleased to announce that in 2015 as a team, adzoo’s volunteering day will be spent supporting the good work of Homeless Connect, helping homeless people in WA. Having a previous connection with this event, I think that involvement in this program is a good leveler for our staff – seeing the day-to-day struggle that some people in our community endure on a daily basis and the opportunity to give-back to such a worthwhile cause and issue for our community.”
