Adventure World up for review
Adventure World have begun a tender process to review their advertising agency contract, currently with Link Advertising.
The open tender will be conducted in two stages.
In the first stage, agencies are required to submit their credentials by 10th April. A shortlist of the most suitable applications which have the best vision and fit with Adventure World, will then be made. All shortlisted agencies will be asked to present to a panel of Adventure World senior management.
Adventure World’s Marketing Manager, Renata Patniotis told Campaign Brief shortlisted agencies will be evaluated further on analysis, creative innovation, vision, attention to detail, account servicing capabilities and competitive costing.
Media buying and PR campaigns are not up for tender at this time. The tender document can be obtained by contacting Patniotis on renata@adventureworld.net.au or 9417 9666.

About time someone did something about that account…it’s been the same boring TV spots with the same boring voice year after year after year!! LOL
I’ll take em….
Shame on you CB for indulging and promoting this type of unprofessional client behaviour. What a joke!
Sorry, I don’t get it 9.52. Cb is indulging and promoting unprofessional behaviour by writing probably the tamest account review story I have ever read??
Obviously you work at Link but Jesus, toughen up man! Maybe they could start off next story with “Once upon a time”
9.52 is there something we are not getting?
7.06 is right the account deserves better work.
A client calls for an open tender and that’s unprofessional?
In my day a client would call for a 5-way creative pitch and we’d call it ‘no problem’.
Nevermind this. Where’s the fawning post about the Sci-tech April Fool’s on Cott beach? Great work, lovely stuff etc.
@952 – Not sure what you are saying. Putting a tender out is pretty normal way of procuring services. They are just asking for credentials and wouldn’t it be up to the agency to decide whether they want to do that? Is there something else to you comment? It would seem to be a pretty smart way for clients to go if they can be bothered to sift through the mountain of dross they will receive. May throw up some interesting options for them beyond the usual suspects.
I’m going to stop visiting this site if you guys don’t put in some more effort. I know you have other shit to take care of (like viewing the best scam ads in asia), but the WA site is suffering from a severe lack of attention.
I get way more value from the national CB site and bestads, but it would be nice to read more about our local industry and to see more local work.
A few crappy pics of drunk people at an awards night does not suffice. After the PADC awards you had a massive amount of hits – how did you go after the CB awards?
Apologies 12:03. Remind me to kick Martin’s arse when he gets back from his only holiday for the past two and a half years.
Glad you like the National CB site and the BestAds site. They do take up a bit of time. While we’re waiting on you to send in your latest fantastic campaign for the WA site why not try out our New Zealand ( http://www.campaignbrief.com/nz ) and Asia ( http://www.campaignbrief.com/asia ) sites.
We only had 5,432 page views the Monday after the Oasis Ball. Down on the PADCs record 8,000 plus, but still our 3rd best day ever. There was of course a 44 page on-the-night magazine featuring all the winners and handed out on the night and delivered to all subscribers on the Monday. The real bummer for visitor numbers was that we didn’t have a children’s book winning best of show or a car yard ad winning best of TV! We’ll aim for that next year. Back to work…
CB. You could probably get posts up a bit if you finally revealed in which category entries smelled worse than the collective arses of all the homeless men in Hyde Park. Online? Yes or no?
Thank god adventure world is changing their advertising…bobble heads – come on – how old are we??!?
The voice over needs to stay – you recognise it every year as the Adventure World voice… at the start of the season they had some other dud on it – sounded like crap.
Too right 10.08 its not like Rare would’ve used that for their apprentices campaign? Bobbly heads rock and get straight through to kids and their parents.
