Adshel set to give a little back with over half a million dollars in outdoor space this Christmas
This Christmas, Adshel is giving away over half a million dollars in media space supporting some of Australia’s most deserving charities.
Now in its fourth year the ‘Importance of Giving Back’ campaign offered Adshel staff the opportunity to nominate the Australian charities they felt would most benefit from a seasonal advertising campaign across 750 of its high-profile national panels. This year Second Bite, Wesley Mission and Cerebral Palsy Australia, have been selected to take part in the campaign. First place will receive 400 Adshel panels with the runners up receiving 250 and 100 panels respectively.
From November 18th to December 6th 2013, Adshel are urging the media community, clients and suppliers to visit a dedicated ‘Importance of Giving Back’ Facebook app and vote for the charity they feel to be most deserving of this unique media opportunity.
Adshel CEO Rob Atkinson said Christmas was a vital time for fundraising for many charities.
Says Atkinson: “We know that the bombardment of marketing messages at this time of year makes it increasingly difficult for many well-deserving charities to make their voices clearly heard.
“We recognise that the greatest asset Adshel can offer them at Christmas is access to our extensive network of out-of-home advertising spaces to help their message really cut-through.
“The Adshel ‘Importance of Giving Back’ campaign highlights the generous community support amongst the advertising and media community, celebrating the tireless efforts of charities across Australia and New Zealand.”
In 2013, the Adshel Christmas Campaign provided The Royal Institute of Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC) with out-of-home panels worth $400,000 to help raise community awareness for the needs of children with vision and hearing impairments.
Says Chris Rehn, chief executive at RIDBC: “The Christmas generosity we received from Adshel last year helped us deliver an exceedingly successful campaign this year. This was the first time we have been able to fulfill our goal to connect hearing and vision loss with the RIDBC brand in the minds of the community. We saw a 30% increase in traffic to our website in the first week of our campaign and had extremely positive feedback.”
Voting will close midnight 6th December 2013 with the first, second and third place winners announced 9th December 2013.
