ADMA WA branch busts social media myths at next digital breakfast with Kristen Vang, Hatchd
Twitter is only for milennials, isn’t it? If it’s not going to go viral, should we be bothering about YouTube? Are Facebook likes really helpful? What are my success metrics with social media? Am I really getting engagement?
Over the past five years social media has become an increasingly important component of many companies’ marketing strategies. But there’s still a lot of myths and questions about its value.
To dissect the most common myths around social media and discuss the implications for marketers, ADMA WA is bringing in Kristen Vang, Director of Strategy at Hatchd, who will give a presentation called ‘Truth, Lies and Has#tags: A Critical Analysis of Social Media Myths’ at the branch’s next early bird breakfast series.
When social media was just reaching Australia, Kristen was already running successful social media campaigns for clients such as MAC, Aveda and HBO at the hub of digital media innovation in New York.
“Kristen will provide some great insights into how social media is reshaping the marketing industry and debunk the many myths that have emerged over the past few years,” said ADMA CEO Jodie Sangster.
In addition to her strategy role, Kristen is co-founder of Hatchd, the digital experience agency that helps brands engage and inspire consumers through innovative experiences and interactive touch points.
It’s happening: Thursday, 12 September 2013

Time: 7.00am-9.00am
