AdImpact tactical ad for Midalia Steel highlights a very good reason to have a pool fence

According to Royal Life Saving, 314 people drowned in Australia in the 12 months to June this year – the highest number for seven years. Men accounted for 80 per cent of the deaths, and half of all children aged under four who drowned died in backyard swimming pools. The birth of a child is the only time when parents become acutely aware of child safety and how fragile kids can be. To bring home the importance of pool fences in an impactful, engaging and relevant way Ad Impact placed the message from Midalia Steel right next to the birth announcements in The West Australian.

Me likee.
Ahh nice!
Remember seeing this one at the Caxton comp.
Surprised it never won!
Simple, yet effective.
Nice work, Luciano!
Do Midalia steel only sell fences? That’s all they ever seem to advertise. They won a gong somewhere with a fence idea a few years back didn’t they? Good work but it’s time to move on Ad Impact.
That’s a bottom draw idea from a couple of years back I bet. An extension from the original campaign from Steve and Drew.
I guess we should listen to Crusty… Once your client has won an award in a certain product category, you shouldn’t advertise that category again.
Nice ad, by the way.
so…. what campaign is being put in place to stop the 80% share of drownings happening???? MEN!
