AdSchool Term 3: Final call for Media Planning & Buying, commencing Monday, October 4
This course is designed for people who have had some exposure to media planning and buying and who want to deepen their knowledge about the media process.
It focuses on the strategies involved in eliciting and executing a comprehensive communications brief from planning to implementation. Special focus will be on how to construct, measure & apply KPI’s.
The core objective of the course is to instil confidence in creating,implementing and assessing media outcomes. The course will provide anunderstanding of the elements, which feed into the development of amedia strategy; the interdependence that characterises these elements;the intricacies of media planning, and the variables that influence theexecution of a strategy.
• To equip professionals incontact with media sellers with the skills to optimize the outcomesrequired from the media for any given communications brief.
• For participants to feel confident in evaluating media strategyand implementation options -from planning stage to post execution.
• To develop holistic thinking, so that planning is relevant, innovative, efficient and effective.
• To help students understand the dynamics of communicationoptions and therefore provide the opportunity for students to developpriorities in strategy/implementation and direction that can be bestdelivered against specific objectives.
• To provide anunderstanding of media metrics; channel evaluation; cost variables; qualitative and quantitative metrics on performance/deliverables; andROI models as they apply to an implementation strategy.
