A snapshot to the other side of Cannes

CampaignBrief asked The Brand Agency’s Josh Edge to wander the streets of Cannes to bring youa different perspective to the annual global adfest. Here’s his firstsnapshot of the early days, with much juicier shots to come during theweek proper. We promise.
This first pic is the view From Notre-Damede l’Esperance. Built sometime in the 16th century, this is as good asplace as any to plan your next ‘Gutter Bar’ rendezvous (and the way backhome).
Shot 1: “Global financial what-now??”
Shot 2: Rue d’Antibes: Prettymuch everyone here has more euros than you’d ever thought possible.Along with an impressive leathery tan and a tiny, annoying dog. It’slike a glimpse in Paris Hilton’s terrifying future.
Shot 3:Combining the two most awesome things ever; candy and pirates, makesfor the most awesome-est shop ever. I dub thee Aaaarghhh-Mart.
Shot4: This collection of rocks actually makes up the walls of theNotre-Dame de l’Esperance. The guy sitting here didn’t move for theentirety of my stay, which made me want to prod him slightly with alarge stick.
Shot 5: Definitely one of the more well-built roofs inOld Town. It’s kind of like the entire area just fell from the sky in ajumbled heap and landed metres from each other.
Shot 6: Outside myhotel at De France, 85 Rue d’Antibes. Like staying on King Street, onlymiles and miles and miles of King Street. Hotels like this tend toinvolve firstborn children and autographs in blood, but you can getlucky with a last-minute deal.
Shot 7: Handing around the Old Townon Saturday. Everywhere you point a camera things like this happen inthis area. Completely beautiful and serene but full of nightmarishlysteep slopes.
