6IX_SPYC_BLOG_1.jpgForever Classic 6IX provided the perfect antidote to Perth’s record heatwave with a function at South of Perth Yacht Club last night.

Guests enjoyed drinks and canapés at a riverside marquee before General Manager Evan Broadway outlined the station’s plans for this year and introduced new Breakfast team Maddie Burke and Tim Gossage. Also there were new special contributors to 6IX’s line-up Lisa Fernandez and Tom Percy QC.

Broadway, who has come from Melbourne’s top-rating 3AW, said he wants 6IX to be “Perth’s Radio Station” with local identities and announcers in all key dayparts. Besides Fernandez and Percy, weekly regular guests in Breakfast will include Aussie and WA netball star Nat Medhurst plus the West Coast Eagles’ Jeremy McGovern and Fremantle Dockers’ Lachie Neale.

OMD’s Jess Johansson was the lucky winner of the fabulous door prize –  a trip for two to Kosciusko Chalet Hotel in the Charlotte Pass ski fields.
