303 tops Creative Rankings
After a ten-year reign at the top, Marketforce has been toppled by perennial challenger 303 as the number 1 ranked creative agency in Perth.
303 has enjoyed great success over the past twelve months with work for IKEA and the Royal Life Saving Association.
Not only did Marketforce lose top spot, it slipped to number 3 behind The Brand Agency, which rose to number 2 thanks to a dominant performance at the PADC Awards plus national and international success with its Perth Zoo ‘Find your animal’ radio campaign.
Not surprisingly, the creators of much of that work have dominated the individual rankings, with 303’s Richard Berney and former Brand Agency copywriter Kurt Beaudoin (now at Meerkats) ranked 1 and 2. Co-creator of the Perth Zoo campaign with Beaudoin, Josh Edge rose to number 3, while last year’s number1, Dav Tabeshfar dropped to 4. Ryan Albuino and Andrew Chu are Marketforce’s best performers, ranked 5 and 6 respectively. In total, 35 Perth creatives gained points in this year’s rankings. Full details are in the June issue of Campaign Brief WA, out now.

market who?
There is a god!
Faaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic…
Spent what?
Nice work Berney! and of course congrats to 303 😀
Well done Chewy and Ryan
Congratulations top 6 ranked creatives – you’ve done yourselves (and your agencies) proud.
Never mind the GFC, must be time for a pay rise surely?
9.08 – Clearly you have never worked at Marketforce!
9.08. Good try Ryan.
Onya Ryan and Chewy and congrats to 303 – very well deserved and long overdue…

Pay rise? What on earth for? Getting some ad to run somewhere once and then costing the agency big bucks submitting it everywhere in the hope that it picks up? You are crazy. It would be better to burn money in an old paint can than give it to the creatives who win these awards. They should be paying the agency for making them look good.
11:40 Making them look good makes the agency look good. Obviously you haven’t been doing your bit, so perhaps it’s time for you to get your slack arse back to work and do mama proud rather than wasting time on this blog.
Well done 303! Hey anyone know whether the rumour is true that Host have tourism in the bag. if so, and late night Subiaco bar talk is genuine, that would be shit.
Go 303, you deserve it.

Get your head out of your ass and ask some of your agency clients (if you still have any) whether these awards mean anything AT ALL to them. Of course there will be a few starf*ckers who like the glory of award nights but most are more concerned with making sure they sell the maximum amount of shit for the minimum amount of advertising spend. And this is measured by effectiveness not creativity alone. If the agency can sneak a few award winners through in the process all well and good. But to advocate a financial merit system based how many creative awards you win is crazy. Lecture over. Now back to that scam ad you’ve been working on for the last four weeks.
Sorry 11.40am you’re absolutely right, forgot where I was for a minute.
You clearly have no idea of how an agency works so you’re in the right place.
7.07 – Are you suggesting a decision has been made before the final presentation process has been completed?
I don’t think Tourism would do such a thing? Heads would role if this was found to be the case.
I must admit I would like to see 303 pull this off.
7.07 – Talking about tenders. Anyone know when Lotterywest would be up for review?
I just read the creative rankings in the National Campaign Brief and it shows that Marketforce are ranked at number 11 in Australia ahead of 303 at number 16 and The Brand at number 26. They are the number one ranked agency in the other states category ahead of 303 at number two and The Brand who have dropped down a place to number 4. How does this work?

Well for starters – no points for PADC or CB Awards which Brand and 303 performed strongly in, coupled with the fact that the national rankings are collated over a two year period as opposed to the last 12 months.
So it’s about consistency and how you perform at the internationally recognised shows as opposed to the local ones which don’t count for points outside of Perth?
9.30.
You are just embarrassing yourself and your agency. Please focus on improving your creative output rather than clinging to hopes of fading glory.
